SIZING GUIDE
Altra shoes run true to size (for example, if you usually wear a size UK10 running shoe, you'll likely be a size UK 10 in Altras).
PRO SIZING TIPS:
- As a general rule of thumb, running shoes (of any brand) should typically be a half size larger than your everyday work/lifestyle shoes.
- All Altras have a wider toe box than other brands on the market. The width of the toe box does not affect the sizing - you can still order your regular size and enjoy extra toe space!
- A roomy toe box is not the same as a wide shoe. Altras have a wider toe box but the shoe will still fit snugly around your heel and midfoot. If you need extra width all over, try our wide models.
- Our "wide" models have 3-5mm extra width across the whole sole, plus extra volume in the upper, coupled with our signature roomy toe box. They average 12-13 cm in width at the widest point. They are not suitable for people with narrow or standard width feet.
- If you happen to order the wrong size, don't worry! We have a free, easy and quick size exchange process to get you sorted out.
We have 3 'fit' families: Slim Fit, Standard Fit and Original Fit. All of them come with a roomy toe box, but some are roomier than others. Use the guide below to help you choose a shoe based on how much extra toe box room you want:
