SALES ASSISTANT / COMMUNITY MANAGER: 

Job Description: Sales Assistant / Community Manager

Location: Cape Town

Reporting to: Head of Sales

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Assistant who will also act as a
Community Manager for our growing portfolio of outdoor and athletic brands. This is a junior role designed for someone looking to immerse themselves in sales while engaging with the local running and outdoor communities. The role will involve a mix of sales responsibilities and active involvement in events, ensuring our products are front and center in the minds of our customers.

You will support the Head of Sales while representing our brands at events, fostering community relationships, and driving product usage in the field.

Key
Responsibilities:

1. Sales Support
•Assist in gathering orders from retailers and ensuring prompt and accurate
processing.
•Support key sales periods (seasonal sell-ins) and collaborate with the sales team to
drive product performance.
•Ensure all sales data is accurately updated in the CRM system (Monday.com).

2.
Retail Engagement

•Conduct regular visits to local retailers, ensuring our products are well-presented
and stocked appropriately.
•Gather feedback from retailers regarding product performance and identify
opportunities for cross-promotion and brand growth.
•Act as a liaison between retailers and the sales team to ensure consistent
communication and relationship building.

3.
Community Engagement & Events

•Represent the company at community running and outdoor events, promoting our
products directly to consumers.
•Build and nurture relationships with local running groups, ensuring our brands are
the go-to choice for their adventures.
•Actively engage with event participants, offer product demonstrations, and provide
firsthand experience of our product range.

4.
Brand Activation

• Assist in planning and executing brand activations at events, ensuring our brands
are well-represented and build strong visibility within the community. • Collaborate with the marketing team to align event strategies with broader
promotional goals.

Skills
& Experience Required: 

• Passion for the Outdoors: You love running, hiking, or any outdoor activities and
are eager to bring that passion into your work.
• Strong Communication Skills: You are confident speaking to retailers, event
participants, and the broader community to build strong relationships.
• Organized & Detail-Oriented: You can juggle multiple tasks, manage time
efficiently, and ensure all sales and event activities are recorded accurately.
• Team Player: You work well within a team, supporting your colleagues to achieve
common goals.

• Sales Growth: Help drive sales across our brand portfolio by ensuring orders are
processed efficiently and retailers are supported.
• Community Outreach: Actively participate in community events, building
awareness and enthusiasm for our products among local outdoor enthusiasts.
• Brand Representation: Ensure that our brands are front of mind in both retail
spaces and outdoor communities, consistently promoting their benefits.

Working
Hours: 

• Standard office hours from Monday to Friday.
• Occasional weekend work required for events and community engagements.
